Porta Westfalica/Frankfurt-am-Main. This year 350 nominations were made for the competition "Entrepreneur of the Year", which is carried out by auditing company Ernst & Young. Following detailed questioning and assessment from these only 80 companies are then nominated for the final round. Markus Baumann, founder and managing director of the ATB Umwelttechnologien GmbH in Porta Westfalica, has also made it into the final round and thus belongs, also this year, to the most successful German businesses. An independent expert jury now determines the prize-winners in each of the five categories Industry, Commerce, Services, Information Technology and Start-up. The winners will be announced and the finalists honoured on 23 September within the framework of a festive gala with invited guests from politics, industry and the media in the Alten Oper Frankfurt. On the competition "Entrepreneur of the Year" The competition "Entrepreneur of the Year" is carried out world-wide in almost 40 countries. In Germany this year it takes already for the ninth time. Initiator of the sought after business prize is the Audit and Consulting Company Ernst & Young. Renowned concerns support the competition as partner: Deutsche Bank, SAP, BMW, manager magazin, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung as well as Capgemini. With the prize top business performance in the categories Industry, Commerce, Services, Information Technology and Start-up are acknowledged. The jury assesses the finalists according to the criteria business performance, business development, innovation, orientation of staff and future potential.
