Entrepreneur of the Year 2006

For the third time, Markus Baumann has been nominated for the final
round of the "Entrepreneur of the Year" 2006.


Ernst & Young honour business performance of Markus Baumann who received the award as finalist on 21 September 2006. The awards were made for the tenth time.

Porta Westfalica/Frankfurt am Main, September 2006 — again this year Markus Baumann has been honoured with the award of "Finalist Entrepreneur of the Year 2006". As founder and Managing Director of ATB Umwelt-
technologien GmbH he is among 350 candidates in the final round, who have been nominated for the much sought after title of "Entrepreneur of the Year". OF these just under 100 candidates made the final, among these Markus Baumann with ATB Umwelttechnologien GmbH. Above all the jury had been convinced for the third time of the sustained growth and innovation. With its small wastewater treatment plant AQUAmax the company in the meanwhile to Europe's leading manufacturers in the wastewater treatment sector.

An independent, top-class group of experts now selected the "Entrepreneur of the Year" from among the circle of the best for the five categories Industry, Commerce, Services, Information Technology and Start-up. On 21 September the prize-winners were announced in front of 900 invited guests from industry, politics and culture in the "Alten Oper", Frankfurt am Main, Germany within the framework of a festive gala. An economic prize celebrated its birthday: in this year the Audit and Consulting Company Ernst & Young honoured the economic
crowning achievement of companies for the tenth time.
